

What is a Chamber Ambassador?
The mission of the Ambassador is to utilize their public relations, education, and networking capabilities to help maximize membership for the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce. Ambassadors are committed to welcoming new Chamber of Commerce members into a comfortable networking environment. Ambassadors also are committed to uniting the current and incoming members to help grow the community, local businesses, and the Chamber membership.
- Ambassadors' main function is to help promote the Chamber and its membership, and to support chamber functions.
- Ambassadors welcome new members to the chamber, help introduce new and prospective members to current Chamber members, and help promote Chamber events
- Ambassadors are greeters at all Chamber functions
- Ambassadors attend ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and other chamber events, as well as help make chamber events successful and enjoyable for everyone
- Ambassadors help Chamber members maximize their investment by facilitating member-to-member communication, supporting and encouraging member involvement, and enhancing the business community's familiarity and knowledge of the organization.
The Ambassador Commitment
- Meet monthly for the Ambassador Meeting
- Commit to attend as many Chamber events as you can including Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings, Annual Chamber Luncheon, Annual Membership Gala
- Volunteer for the Chamber's annual events (ATT ProAm Shuttles, Good Old Days Street Festival, Flavors of PG, and the Holidays at the Inns)
- Visit Chamber members and businesses as an official representative and encourage members to attend upcoming chamber events, and programs, and to be involved.
- Develop knowledge of Chamber policies, staff, committees, and benefits
- Acting as a contact for new and existing members to help them best utilize their membership

- Ability to work “behind the scenes” on behalf of the Chamber at important events and activities that define the future of Pacific Grove.

- Monthly meetings to network with fellow Ambassadors and cultivate plans to contact new Members and existing Members
- Ability to contribute to and implement new ideas that support the mission of the Chamber,
- Make announcements, learn about upcoming Chamber events and programs
Ambassador Expectations
Ambassador duties and responsibilities include:
- Monthly Meeting Attendance
- Seek & share opportunities for Chamber development
- Attend Chamber Programs, Events & Ribbon Cuttings
- Actively Participate in Chamber member outreach and recruit new Chamber members
- Advocate for the Chamber, its members, and our community through your network via social media channels & personal interactions
