Sunday Services Online & Onsite

The members of St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church have resumed in person services in addition to continuing Zoom worship online. We invite you to join us Sunday mornings at 9:00 am via Zoom for a “live” Liturgy of the Word with the Rev. Kristine Johnson. The service is followed by a Zoom "coffee chat" with parishioners. You are most welcome to attend these Sunday video services, and the opportunity for spiritual renewal and growth.

You can find service information and bulletins directly on our website:

Or send an email to and ask to receive the e-bulletin for the worship services which will include the link to the Zoom meeting.

You may also join us in person at 10:00 am in the church for a Holy Eucharist service including Communion.  This service is followed by outdoor fellowship at 11:00 am. All are invited.

Please note that beginning January 16, only vaccinated individuals will be able to participate in worship or group meetings held anywhere in the facilities of St. Mary’s by-the-Sea, Pacific Grove, CA. Until further notice, you will need to provide proof of vaccination in order to enter any of the buildings/rooms. Surgical or KN95/N95 masks are required inside our buildings.

This does not include children who are not yet old enough to receive the vaccine or those who have medical conditions preventing them from vaccination. As the numbers continue to rise, we are taking this extra precaution for everyone’s safety: those in our community who have chronic health conditions, our children, and to encourage everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated. The re-entry team will meet again in February to determine whether changes to this policy are warranted, and report to the Vestry.

Review our Upcoming Events list at for more ways to participate.

St. Mary’s Parish was founded by a small group of Episcopal women in 1886. Please consider a visit to St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church to appreciate this sacred space in person. Be well.
