 Exhibits:

Romanoos - An Artist’s Journey, Gill Gallery

I have but one desire as a representational artist… to utilize my head, heart, and hands in every painting I create. My head, to push all the knowledge I have gained throughout my career; my heart, to keep pushing myself even if depleted; and my hands, to master my craft. With this mindset, the subject matter is irrelevant, (portrait, landscape, or still life), for I love it all.

Rob Holt - Living the Dance, Dyke Gallery

Widely known for his one-of-a-kind, direct-welded bronze cypress trees, recently Rob has been exploring the wonderful world of abstract art. In this body of work, Rob departs from realism to the abstract which allows the viewer to step into a three-dimensional canvas and explore their own feeling as they move through a world of shape, color and texture.

Brian Spiegel - The Sea, Annand Gallery

The Sea is incredible. It gives us life and sometimes it takes it away. I like to view the earth from the edge of the seashore through distance to the life-giving sun. As life is a delicate balance. I'll show you the sun, the sea, clouds in the sky and the essence of its magnificence.

Jesse Butterfield & Anjelica Colliard - Natural Life, Sacred Life, Boyer Gallery

Jesse Butterfield - I seek to assist people in becoming aware of understanding their inner processes and to re-establish a healthy kinship with the earth. I feel that a great deal of people are distracted by technology and have lost their connection with the natural world. My work strives to help us rekindle our relationship with Mother Nature, rebalance the way we interact with all of creation, and bring sacredness in every facet of our lives.

Anjelica Colliard’s - Magic Plants series uses bright color, glowing shapes and organic textures to dance with the frequently overlooked magic created by the natural world around us. Through mixed media works, Colliard invites you to see into brightly colored botanical worlds, where swirling plants glow with magic energy; gentle figures pose peacefully, inviting you inside. These works tickle at a hidden sense of wonder and a look into a brighter future.

Monterey County Historical Society - Celebrating Monterey County, Small Halls
The Monterey County Historical Society was founded in December 1933. According to founding historical society documents, it was initially a small core of aging civic leaders who based their efforts to establish a historical society upon a deep concern for the preservation of a rapidly disappearing history of what they knew in those days as “Old Monterey County." Our image collection contains over 100,000 images and date from 1870 through the present documenting the development of a region that has been inhabited for 10,000 years.
