Welcome to Pacific Grove...
Pacific Grove is located on the northern most tip of the Monterey Peninsula, at the entrance to Monterey Bay and is considered to be the "Butterfly Town USA," also holds festivals such as "The Good Old Days Celebration." The beautiful coastline on Ocean View Boulevard is almost rivaled by the old, yet graceful Victorians that line the town's streets. Pacific Grove is home to great festivals, such as "Good Old Days" and "Feast of Lanterns." |
Pacific Grove was once a Methodist summer retreat so there is a certain quality that is conducive to rest and relaxation. Once a year, thousands of monarch butterflies come to town in winter. There is a butterfly sanctuary on Ridge Road off Lighthouse Avenue. November through early March you can visit the area and see the butterflies.
A quiet stroll through the neighborhoods reveals early homes displaying plaques engraved with names of original owners and construction dates. Undoubtedly the safest little home town in the tri-county area. |
