Mary’s-By-The-Sea Annual Spring Book Sale
St.
Mary’s-by-the Sea Episcopal Church’s at Edward’s Hall will
be the site of a great book sale. Hundreds of great

Political, Mysteries, Gardening, Children’s Books and

Old Days Celebration

April 16th, 17th & 18th Wildflower Show
Don’t
miss this rare opportunity to view over 600 species and
varieties of Central Coast wildflowers. The Monterey Bay
Chapter of the California Native Plant Society partners
with the Museum to make this Wildflower Show the largest
in the Northern and Western Hemispheres in terms of number
of species and varieties represented. Show events include
Jack Muir Laws, noted scientific illustrator, offering
wildflower sketch classes.
This year’s show launches the
Museum’s new Native Plant Garden which features a living
willow tunnel, mineral dig area, and habitats such as
chaparral, butterfly, coastal shrub, and oak woodland. For

June 6th
Butterfly
Criterium
The
2010 Butterfly Criterium, which is officially sanctioned
by USA Cycling, will feature several race categories and a
number of wonderful activities for families. Spectators
will have an optimal view from almost anywhere along the
route and the course will certainly be a challenge for
competitors too. The race is sponsored by the Pacific
Grove Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of
Pacific Grove and is organized by Ghost Tree Racing, a

June 14th - 20th U.S.
Open
On
June 14-20, 2010, the U.S. Open Championship returns to
the Pebble Beach Golf Links. This will be the fifth time
that the U.S. Open will be played at Pebble Beach, and it
will surely be a challenge for the 156 players who will be
participating, as well as a memorable experience for the
thousands of spectators and volunteers who will be

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Festivities at Jewell Park include live entertainment by
school bands and choruses, followed by caroling and

November 30 Artists in the
Museum
This one night show and sale will coincide with the second
night of Christmas at the Inns. Visit the Pacific Grove
Museum of Natural History on Central and Forest and enjoy
the work of fifteen local artists. This is a great chance
to purchase one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and meet the
artists in person. Items for sale will include glasswork,
pine needle baskets, photography, watercolors and
acrylics, textile work, carved gourds, jewelry and
ceramics. The event is open to the public from 5pm to

Stillwell’s Snow in the Park
Caledonia Park in downtown PG behind the Post Office will
