Feb. 8th-14th                                            AT&T

Shuttle bus service provided to AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.  Tickets to the event and shuttle are sold at Chamber office and departing from the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.  Stay in Pacific Grove and catch a shuttle to the event.  For more information, please call 831-373-3304 or www.pacificgrove.org.

March 13th                 St. Mary’s-By-The-Sea Annual Spring Book Sale

St. Mary’s-by-the Sea Episcopal Church’s at Edward’s Hall will be the site of a great book sale.  Hundreds of great books:  History, Art, Cookbooks, Finance, Spiritual, Political, Mysteries, Gardening, Children’s Books and more…Hardcover, paperbacks, some brand new! April 10th & 11th            53rd Annual Good Old Days Celebration

A Pacific Grove tradition!!  Includes the County’s largest arts and crafts show, with over 225 art and food vendors in downtown Pacific Grove, a parade down Pine Avenue; live entertainment on five stages; California Police Motorcycle Competition; old-fashioned games and contests and lots of family fun.  Free admission.   More info:  831-373-3304 or  www.pacificgrove.org

April 16th, 17th & 18th                   Wildflower Show

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to view over 600 species and varieties of Central Coast wildflowers. The Monterey Bay Chapter of the California Native Plant Society partners with the Museum to make this Wildflower Show the largest in the Northern and Western Hemispheres in terms of number of species and varieties represented. Show events include Jack Muir Laws, noted scientific illustrator, offering wildflower sketch classes.

This year’s show launches the Museum’s new Native Plant Garden which features a living willow tunnel, mineral dig area, and habitats such as chaparral, butterfly, coastal shrub, and oak woodland. For more information: 831-648-5718 or www.pgmuseum.org

June 6th                                          Butterfly Criterium

The 2010 Butterfly Criterium, which is officially sanctioned by USA Cycling, will feature several race categories and a number of wonderful activities for families.  Spectators will have an optimal view from almost anywhere along the route and the course will certainly be a challenge for competitors too. The race is sponsored by the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of Pacific Grove and is organized by Ghost Tree Racing, a central coast cycling club.  Please contact Ghost Tree Racing for more information: www.ghosttreeracing.com

June 14th - 20th                                               U.S. Open

On June 14-20, 2010, the U.S. Open Championship returns to the Pebble Beach Golf Links.  This will be the fifth time that the U.S. Open will be played at Pebble Beach, and it will surely be a challenge for the 156 players who will be participating, as well as a memorable experience for the thousands of spectators and volunteers who will be on-site. July 4th                                      City Fourth of July BBQ

July 9th-11th                    Antiques and Collectibles Show and Sale

July 22nd-25th                               Feast of Lanterns

September 10th-12th                Triathlon at Pacific Grove

September 16                   Community Expo – Chautauqua Hall

October 2nd                         Annual Butterfly Parade & Bazaar

Local elementary school children welcome the Monarchs to Pacific Grove during this annual parade (10:30am), followed by the Butterfly Bazaar behind the Robert Down School. More info:  831-646-6540.

October 3rd                               Historic Home Tour

A tour of prime and selected Victorian and historic homes, bed & breakfast inns, and churches.  Docents provide a history of each location, highlighting Pacific Grove’s traditional hospitality. October 16th                      Architecture/Design Home Tour

November 12th                           Holiday Fashion Show

A Fashion Show by eight PG Boutiques.  More than 120 donations of trips, restaurant certificates, accommodations & golf packages will be auctioned off to support the Chamber.  Held at Asilomar Conference Grounds, Merrill Hall from 5:30-8:30 pm, the event includes dinner & live entertainment.  More info: 831-373-3304 or www.pacificgrove.org

November 29th                 City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Festivities at Jewell Park include live entertainment by school bands and choruses, followed by caroling and refreshments at Chautauqua Hall and Santa’s first visit! The tree lighting begins at 5:30pm.  More info:  831-373-3304 or www.pacificgrove.org

November 30                              Artists in the Museum

This one night show and sale will coincide with the second night of Christmas at the Inns.  Visit the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History on Central and Forest and enjoy the work of fifteen local artists.  This is a great chance to purchase one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and meet the artists in person.  Items for sale will include glasswork, pine needle baskets, photography, watercolors and acrylics, textile work, carved gourds, jewelry and ceramics.  The event is open to the public from 5pm to 9pm.  There is no admission charge. Nov 30 and Dec 1st                     Christmas at the Inns

December 2nd                     9th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights

Lighted parade will feature marching bands, holiday floats, dance teams, equestrian groups, and of course, Santa Claus.  After the parade, stores will remain open for Holiday shopping & wagon rides, photos with Santa & carolers. December 4th                       17th Annual Stillwell’s Snow in the Park

Caledonia Park in downtown PG behind the Post Office will be covered in a blanket of snow & decorated with twinkling lights.  Lots of wintry fun for all! Featuring Santa’s arrival on a shiny PG fire truck, Frosty the Snowman, Snow Queen, hayrides, petting zoo & lots of entertainment. The hours are from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
