March 8                   St. Mary's-By-the-Sea Annual Spring Book Fair

St. Mary’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church’s at Edward's Hall will be the site of a great Book Fair.  Hundreds of Great Books:  History, Art, Cookbooks, Finance, Spiritual, Political, Mysteries, Gardening, Children's Books and more.....Hardcover, paperbacks, some brand new!  Plus Videos, DVDs, CDs, Records, cassettes.  Fill a bag for $4.00 sale after 1:00 pm.   More Info: 831-373-4441

March 9                                   19th Annual Great Taste of PG

The fabulous food and wine event, to benefit PG PRIDE and Pacific Grove schools, will showcase the area's finest restaurants and wineries along with a live & silent auction, on behalf of the Pacific Grove Unified School District, to be held in the Grand Ballroom of Inn at Spanish Bay. April 12-13                      51st Annual Good Old Days Celebration

April 18- 20                                         Wildflower Show

 Monterey Jazz Festival County High School All Star Band, Color guard presentation by Seaside High School Junior ROTC, • Panel with photographer Tom Graves, Larry Oda, President of National Japanese American Citizens League (JACL), and Nisei veterans, Taiko drumming demonstration. Annual fundraiser for St. Mary's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. Collectibles and antiques from a select group of West Coast antiques dealers in this 1887 Gothic Revival church.

Church offices and meeting rooms become transformed into a marketplace of booths for over 25 vendors of fine silver, jewelry, Bakelite, collectible books, fine art, glassware, vintage clothing, toys and small furniture. Show & sale tickets are $6.00 and are good for all three days.

 In addition to the Show & Sale, luncheon is served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the church patio. Luncheon tickets are $8.00.

 The Antiques & Collectibles Show & Sale is presented by St. Mary's-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 146 12th Street in Pacific Grove, California. Tours of the church will be offered during the Antiques Show & Sale.

August 7-10, 2008      Steinbeck Festival 2008: Steinbeck & Mexico

Steinbeck Festival 2008 will explore Steinbeck’s regard for Mexico in broad cultural contexts.  Four days of talks, tours, films and events, culminating in a Community Free Day for Monterey County residents on Sunday, August 10 celebrating the cultural heritage of Mexico. Presentations will address the impact of Mexican and Mexican American culture on Steinbeck’s work and key components of that heritage: the politics of the Mexican revolution, migratory workers in California, Mexican and Mexican American music and art, and other themes.  From 1932 until the mid 1950s, Steinbeck often wrote about the environment, history, culture and politics of Mexico. September 12 - 14                     Triathlon at Pacific Grove

November 15th                  Fashion Show/Community Auction

A Fashion Show by eight PG Boutiques and Community Auction.  More than 120 donations of trips, restaurant certificates, accommodations & golf packages will be auctioned off to support the Chamber.  Held at Asilomar Conference Grounds from 5:30-10 pm, the event includes dinner & live entertainment.  More info: 831-373-3304.

October 4th                            Annual Butterfly Parade & Bazaar

Local elementary school children welcome the Monarchs to Pacific Grove during this annual parade (10:30am), followed by the Butterfly Bazaar behind the Robert Down School.   More info:  831-646-6548.

October 5th                                    Historic Home Tour

A tour of prime and selected Victorian and historic homes, bed & breakfast inns, and churches.  Docents provide a history of each location, highlighting Pacific Grove’s traditional hospitality.  Co-sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Pacific Grove Art Center, and the Heritage Society. December 1                           City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

December 2 & 3                                      Christmas at the Inns

December 4th                   7th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights

December 6th                   15th Annual Stillwell’s Snow in the Park

Caledonia Park in downtown PG behind the Post Office will be covered in a blanket of snow & decorated with twinkling lights.  Lots of wintry fun for all!
