Event Description: In keeping with tradition as old as the city itself, this is a community celebration like no other featuring a week of many events and activities! Feast of Lanterns Schedule of Events: Friday, July 20 is the Feast of Lanterns Art Show from 6:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. at Artisana Gallery, 309 Forest Ave; Saturday, July 21 is Family Fun Day (including Chalk Fest) from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Museum of Natural History; Wednesday, July 25 are Opening Ceremonies at 1:00 p.m. at Chautauqua Hall, featuring entertainment by Gordon Coleman and Celebration cakes; Thursday, July 26 is the Feast of Flavors at 11:00 a.m. at Chautauqua Hall, the cost is $10.00 per person; Friday, July 27 is the Pet Parade at 2:30 p.m. in downtown Pacific Grove, and the Feast of Dancing from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Chautauqua Hall; Saturday, July 28 is the Feast of Lanterns at Lovers Point Park and Pier with children’s activities from 11:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (tickets sold until 5:00 p.m.), Feast of Foods, Flag Ceremony and Entertainment begin at 12:30 p.m., Sand Castle Contest at 1:00 p.m., and the Sponsors Walk and Pageant at 7:45 p.m.; Sunday, July 29 is the Closing Ceremonies at 2:00 p.m. at Chautauqua Hall, featuring entertainment, refreshments and a drawing.
